Description
EziLab offers the Conradson Carbon Residue Tester EZL-RC51, a manual apparatus for the Conradson method built around a 30 ml porcelain crucible nested inside a 75 ml inner iron crucible and a 190 ml covered outer iron crucible. A flame shield and a round iron cover with a wire fire bridge frame the heating stack. A gas torch burner runs on standard civil gas, and the full setup weighs 5 kg. The sample is heated through evaporation and pyrolysis until only carbonaceous residue remains, and the flame visible above the iron cover signals each stage of the burn. Weighing that carbon residue shows how much coke a fuel or lubricant will leave behind in engines and burners. Four porcelain crucibles and five outer iron crucibles let analysts run repeat tests for fuel testing and lubricant testing. Refineries check residual fuel oils and heavy fractions against coke-forming limits, while lubricant blenders screen base oils before formulation. Independent petroleum testing labs and power plants buying burner fuel use the result to judge deposit risk, and diesel fuel testing programs track distillate quality. Gas heating keeps setup refreshingly simple. See the Carbon Residue Testers and Conradson Carbon Residue Tester pages for full specifications.
