Description
EziLab offers the Automatic Microtome EZL-AM301, a motorized rotary microtome that cuts sections from 0.25 to 100 µm and trims from 1 to 600 µm, holding thickness within 5%. The specimen head travels 28 mm horizontally and 70 mm vertically, accepts blocks up to 70 by 70 mm, and orients 8° on the X and Y axes with 90° rotation either way. Feed runs at 1500 or 3500 µm per second, and retraction adjusts from 0 to 50 µm. Cross-roller guide rails, a smooth hand wheel, and an LED display round out the 150 W unit. Three control modes cover conventional cutting, intelligent sensing, and whole layer cutting, while auto slicing switches between trimming and sectioning. Technicians swap paraffin block and cassette clamps quickly, shift the blade holder sideways for a fresh edge, and clear debris with a large removable waste tray. A red guard covers the blade, and emergency braking halts the wheel. Pathology and hospital histology labs cut paraffin tissue for diagnosis, while research labs prepare biology and medical science samples.
