Description
EziLab offers the Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry EZL-GCMS101, a single quadrupole GCMS machine that separates volatile and semi-volatile compounds by gas chromatography, then identifies them by mass. A dual-filament electron ionization source runs at 0–240 eV, feeding an all-metal quadrupole with pre-quadrupole that covers 1.5–1200 u at unit mass separation. Scan speed reaches 20,000 u/s, the dynamic range spans 10⁷, and mass axis drift stays under 0.10 u over 48 hours. Sensitivity achieves a 1,500:1 signal-to-noise ratio for 1 pg/µL OFN. An ultra-inert flow path limits analyte loss, a 250 L/s turbomolecular pump with quick-lock venting shortens restart time, and SCAN, SIM or combined acquisition suits screening and targeted quantitation. MassExpert software adds one-touch autotune, batch processing, NIST library matching with deconvolution and report templates. Forensic labs, hospitals, environmental agencies, food testers, petrochemical refiners and polymer producers use this quadrupole GC-MS for compound identification. Uses include illicit drug and toxicology screening, pesticide and VOC monitoring, flavor and contaminant profiling, fuel hydrocarbon analysis and additive characterization. Choose it over GC-FID when unknown peaks need structural confirmation, not just retention times.
