Description
EziLab offers the Manual Microtome EZL-MM103, a paraffin microtome that cuts sections from 1 to 60 µm and trims from 0 to 60 µm. It holds specimens up to 70 × 70 mm, with a 28 mm horizontal stroke, a 70 mm vertical stroke, and 8° XY orientation for lining up the block face. A switchable 60 µm specimen retraction pulls the block back on the return stroke, so it clears the blade and protects the next section. The micro-drive feed system advances the specimen within ±5%, while imported cross-roller guide rails keep the stroke smooth and steady. Users switch between cassette and paraffin block clamps, a red blade holder bar guards fingers, and a removable waste tray catches trimmings. A heavy power base limits vibration. As a histology microtome, it turns embedded tissue into thin, even ribbons for slides, letting technicians trim blocks, cut serial sections, and prepare samples for staining and microscopy. Hospital pathology and clinical labs section biopsies and surgical specimens, histology and biology labs prepare plant and animal tissue, industrial labs section polymers and other materials, and medical institutions train students in routine tissue preparation. See the Manual Microtomes and Manual Microtome pages for full specifications.
